This house was built by John Fowler for his wife and two daughters in 1907. The lumber used in construction was milled on Water Street in Apalachicola. It was sold to Dr. Hamm, an Apalachicola dentist, who lived here with his wife and daughter until it was bought by Buddy and Martha Pearl Ward in 1965. Mrs. Ward has an original photograph on display which shows how the house looked when originally constructed.
