Houseland
143 4th St. (Owned by Kathy Jansen)
“Houseland” started its life as a houseboat where it was moored on the Apalachicola River for nine years. In 2009, it was removed from the water and relocated to this lot. The pontoons were removed and renovations were made by Odom Construction Coastal which included antique posts and recycled materials in the design. Additions to the original boat were a laundry room, steam room, balcony, outdoor tub/shower and screened porches. On the grounds there is also a fire pit, and a back porch pond with water feature that make this once seaworthy home a comfortable, safe place on land for the current owner.
